You will find the February 2015 Tech Offerings by
following this link.
Here are a few highlights and items for you to consider.
For
starters, the work on our cabling and network project has begun and we
will see dramatic improvement in our network over the course of the next
few weeks. This will allow you more opportunities than ever to try
something new with your students when it comes to integrating
technology.
With
the start of the new term now is a great time to take a gradebook class
and review how to enter and organize assignments or events. There is
also a chance for you to learn how to use the new conditional formatting
feature which allows you to color code your entries.
We
continue to respond to teacher requests and you will find that there
are multiple classes that are being offered at the high school starting
at 2:35. They are repeated at another time and location, but we wanted to respond to the request of the HS team.
Please
remember that we have multiple independent study/online learning
opportunities. Google Forms and Youtube courses are still available and
Lori has added Advanced Google Forms. This is truly an advanced class so
please make sure you read the course description to know if it is right
for you.
You
will see an additional online class coming soon that focuses on the use
of online formative assessment tools such as Socrative, Kahoot,
InfuseLearning, Geddit, Exitticket, etc. There are several very good
tools out there with a variety of functions to meet your needs.
If you are thinking that a Saturday course fits your schedule better, please look at the course offerings for Saturday February 21st.
